O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider the 1st petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2024 and issue online patta to the 1st petitioner in respect of the property bearing Survey No.1471/12 Part, T.S.No.139, Ward No.D, Block No.20, measuring an extent of 1120 sq.ft., situated in Lakshmipuram, Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai District, within a time fixed by this Court.
2. According to the 1st petitioner, the above mentioned property belong to him and he submitted a representation before the respondents 2/6
seeking issue of online patta in his name for the above mentioned property. The respondents failed to consider the request of the 1st petitioner on the ground that they have not received orders from the Higher Authorities for updating online revenue records. Therefore, the petitioners have come before this Court seeking necessary direction to the respondents.

When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents, on written instructions, would submit that at present the Town Settlement Work is going on in respect of the property situated in Ward No.D, Madhavaram Taluk and therefore, if reasonable time is given to the respondents, the request of the 1st petitioner for issuing online patta will be considered in accordance with law.
4. It is seen from the additional typed-set of papers dated 28.08.2024 filed by the petitioners, the 1st petitioner applied for issue of online patta in Application No.2024/0165/02/000105, dated 29.06.2024. 3/6

In view of the stand taken by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that request for issue of online patta will be considered after completion of Town Settlement Work, this Court is inclined to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the online application filed by the petitioner dated 29.06.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
