ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the petitioner on the ground that his daughter named Shangamithra has been illegally detained. On enquiry by the respondents/police, it is found that the detenue aged about 22 years is living along with her mother, who is non other than the wife of the petitioner. On account of misunderstanding the petitioner and his wife is living separately. The detenue is now living with her mother and she is not willing to join with her father. 3.
The petitioner cannot compel his daughter aged about 22 years to join him, since it is her personal liberty. More-so, the detenue is a major studying at Kavin Arts and Science College, Chennai and residing along with her mother.

In view of the above facts, the petitioner's daughter is not in an illegal detention. Consequently, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed.
