ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The present Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Registry of High Court to return the deposited amount of Rs.2,00,000/- in the name of the 2nd respondent Mr.P.Haridoss alone.

2. Admittedly a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- was deposited pursuant to the orders of this Court by both the petitioners viz., H.Sukumaran and P.Haridoss. However, the present petitioner Mr.P.Haridoss seeks permission from the Court to withdraw the entire amount in his name, which is impermissible. The Registry has already kept the cheque ready in the names of the petitioners viz., Mr.H.Sukumaran and Mr.P.Haridoss. Therefore, the petitioners are at liberty to receive the cheque from the Registry and the deposited amount cannot be granted in the name of the 2nd petitioner alone. Both the petitioners are jointly entitled to get back the deposited amount as per the order of this Court dated 22.10.2024 passed in the Suo Motu Contempt Petition No.3201 of 2024 in C.M.P.No.25420 of 2023 in O.S.A.No.277 of 2006.

3. With these observations, this Civil Miscellaneous Petition stands disposed of.
