Heard the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Learned Counsel for the respondents.

2. The case of the petitioner is that, the drainage lane of the petitioner's street is not properly maintained by the Local Body in spite of several representations. The petitioner has also enclosed the photographs indicating that the lane is filled with drainage water.

3. In response to the notice, the Block Development Office, Krishnagiri District, has submitted note to the Government Advocate reporting that the lane mentioned in the petition is very narrow and the sewage in the road was let in by the street residence, unmindful of the hygiene. Manually the sewage has been drained out and necessary action is taken in this regard, will be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Recording the undertaking given by the 3rd respondent/Block Development Officer, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
