ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant patta to the petitioner in respect of the land in S.No.234/3 with an extent of 2.00 acres situated at Gurunathapuram, Kizhpatti Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.10.2015.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is in possession and enjoyment of the land ad-measuring 2 acres which is classified as "Kundru Poramboke" comprised in S.No.234/3 situated at Kezhpatti Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District. The petitioner submitted application for issuance of patta for the subject land before the respondent. On receipt of the same, the respondent directed the Revenue Officials to conduct enquiry and made field inspection and file a report on 11.01.2016. In pursuant to the same, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vellore also directed the Tahsildhar, Gudiyatham to conduct field inspection and file a report. no steps have been taken by the Tahsildhar and it is still pending.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the Tahsildhar, Gudiyatham is directed to conduct a field inspection and file a report as requested by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vellore, if not already submitted, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and after issuance notice to the petitioner and counter parties, if any and after giving opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
