PRAYER: - The Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 483 of The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying to grant bail to the petitioner/Accused in Crime No.218 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.

The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.06.2024 for the offences punishable under sections 147, 148, 294(b), 324, 307 and 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.218 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

The case of the prosecution is that on 13.06.2024 at about 4.30 a.m., near amman temple, the petitioner along with other accused assaulted the defacto complainant's sister's son Dinesh, with knife in all over his body and also abused a woman, who tried to prevent him and due to which, serious injuries were caused. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner is in judicial custody since 14.06.2024 and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He has not committed any offence as alleged by the respondent police. The petitioner is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. Hence, the petitioner may be released on bail.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has submitted that the petitioner 2/4

was detained under Goondas Act. He has also submitted the copy of the detention order passed by the District Magistrate and District Collector, Tiruvallur.

5. Recording the above submission, the criminal original petition is dismissed.
