Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from the terminating the services of the petitioners in the post of Guest Lectures in the Government Law College, Coimbatore - 641 046.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to forbear the respondents from terminating the services of the petitioners in the post of Guest Lectures in the Government Law College, 2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted the brief facts, stating that the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court passed an order on 22.12.2017 and on 28.04.2018 in W.P.No.11806 of 2017, has directed the Government to appoint an Expert Committee to monitor the recruitment process for the posts of Assistant Professors and Assistant Professors(Pre-Law) of the Government Law Colleges under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Justice Thiru.N.Paul Vasanthakumar, Retired Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir.

3.The said Expert Committee appointed, convened several meetings and made recommendations. Accordingly, the Government had taken steps to recruit the regular Lecturers in all the Government Law Colleges. The process of recruitment has already been undertaken by the Government, Mr.S.George Alexander, the Deputy Secretary, Law Department, Secretariat, Chennai - 9, appeared before this Court to assist the Special Government Pleader has informed that the process of recruitment will be completed during the Month of October 2018 or in November 2018. Further, it is contended that till the regular Lecturers are appointed in accordance with the recruitment rules in force, the existing Guest Lecturers will be allowed to continue in service. 4.

This being the factum of the case, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition. However, the writ petitioners cannot claim any permanent appointment based on the services rendered in the Government Law College as Guest Lecturers.

5.With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
