ORDER
This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to grant police protection for the completion of the reconstruction and repairs of a temple.
2. It is seen from records that there was a dispute between the two parties and the same was referred to a Peace Committee headed by the Tahsildar, Panruti. The Tahsildar, Panruti by proceeding dated 06.03.2019 had enquired both the parties and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
had set out the agreement reached between the parties and directed the reconstruction/repairs to be carried out in accordance with the agreement reached between the parties and further directed the respondent police to grant protection for the same.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that, in spite of the Peace Committee conducted by the Tahsildar, Panruti and a specific direction given by the respondent police, till date the petitioner is not able to proceed further with the work and the respondent police is also not providing necessary police protection.
4. Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to act upon the proceeding dated 06.03.2019 of the Tahsildar, Panruti and provide necessary police protection for the repair and reconstruction of the temple.
6. This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
