Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue Appointment Order to the petitioner on the basis of the interview conducted on 26.02.2016 for appointment to the post of Cook Helper at the Panchayat Union Primary School, Seyyanandhal, Chetpet Panchayat Union, Thiruvannamalai District.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second and third respondents to issue Appointment Order to the petitioner on the basis of the interview conducted on 26.02.2016 for appointment to the post of Cook Helper at the Panchayat Union Primary School, Seyyanandhal, Chetpet Panchayat Union, Thiruvannamalai District.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she belong to Scheduled Caste. She had attended the interview before the second respondent by virtue of his call letter dated 22.2.2016. According to the petitioner, she is the only participant in the interview and she had produced all the relevant documents at the time of interview. But, thereafter, she has not received any intimation from the second respondent. She is not aware whether she was selected or not. Therefore, she made a representation to the first respondent on 04.03.2016 and no order has been passed on the representation given by the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed the writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if she is intimated about the outcome of the interview as expeditiously as possible.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

5. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the first respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.03.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
