PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 herein to erect and construct the threshing field and storage for agricultural produces in the land comprised in Survey No.17/6 of Mettupalayam Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District, in terms of proceedings of the 3rd respondent made in Na.Ka. B7/441/2024 dated 08.03.2024 by passing an order on the petitioner's representations dated 24.05.2024, 24.06.2024 and 18.07.2024 made to the respondents 1 to 4 herein. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 herein to erect and construct the threshing field and storage for agricultural produces in the land comprised in Survey No.17/6 of Mettupalayam Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District, in terms of proceedings of the 3rd respondent made in Na.Ka. B7/441/2024 dated 08.03.2024 by passing an order on the petitioner's representations dated 24.05.2024, 24.06.2024 and 18.07.2024 made to the respondents 1 to 4 herein.

According to the petitioner, already, the District Health Officer, Perambalur has given no objection to construct and erect the threshing filed and godown, as it would not affect the medical services rendered in the Sub Health Centre. Even though there were no legal obstacles, the respondents have not taken any steps to start the works, by implementing the proceedings of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.7/441/2024, dated 08.03.2024. In this regard, the representations dated 24.05.2024 and 24.06.2024 given by the petitioners were also being kept unanswered. Hence this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and we have perused the materials on record.
4. Considering the limited scope of prayer and also taking into account the fact that the District Health Officer has already given no objection certificate to erect the threshing field and godown, we inclined to dispose the writ petition, with the following direction.
5. Accordingly, the District Collector, Perambalur District is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 24.05.2024 and 24.06.2024 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the parties concerned, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
