the request made by the Joint Commissioner of Labour-II, DMS, Teynampet, Chennai in proceedings /8016/22 dated 19.01.2023 against the Superintendent Engineer, Chennai, North (for Ponneri Division), No.144, Anna Salai, Chennai 600 002 regarding the realisation of the amount awarded in E.C.58 of 2016 order dated 12.04.2022. For Petitioner : Mr.C.Gunasekaran For R1 & R2 : Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik Government Advocate (Revenue department)

O R D E R

This Court directed the District Collector/1st respondent to file a report with regard to the action taken under the Revenue Recovery Act, 1890 as per the order passed on 26.04.2023.

Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik, learned Government Advocate representing 1st and 2nd respondents has circulated a proceedings dated 20.08.2024 issued by the Tahsildar, Egmore Taluk, initiating Revenue Recovery proceedings against the 3rd respondent to recover the amount of Rs.4,32,352/- with 12% interest.

It is to be seen that though the writ petitioner has made the

Tahsildar of Mylapore Taluk as 2nd respondent, the competent person is the Tahsildar of Egmore Taluk. Hence, this Court suo-motu impleads the Tahsildar, Egmore Taluk, Chennai-31 as the 4th respondent in this Writ Petition and directs the said 4th respondent to proceed as per the notice dated 20.08.2024 against the 3rd respondent.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
