This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.335 of 2016 under Section 366A IPC in respect of kidnapping of a minor girl Jothimani. The girl has not been secured. The petitioner is required for enquiry.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had already appeared for enquiry.

5. In the considered opinion of this Court, so far the girl has not been secured. The petitioner shall co-operate in the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
