This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.06.2024, seeking bail in Crime No.160 of 2024 registered under Sections 341, 195(A), 506(ii) of IPC.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has nothing to do with the offence as stated by the prosecution and he has been suffering incarceration from 24.06.2024. He also submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he sought for bail.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner had waylaid the de facto complainant and threatened her not to give evidence against him in Court concerning the previous case registered against the petitioner in the de facto complainant's son's murder case. He further submitted that the petitioner is an 'A' category history sheeted rowdy, against whom, eight previous cases are pending. Hence, he vehemently opposed for granting bail to the petitioner, stating, if the petitioner is released on bail at this stage, there is a possibility of him absconding and once again would threaten the de facto complainant.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) and also considering the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
