The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this court to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. Recording the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.

However, taking into account the fact that the petitioners are residing in Ilayangudi, Sivaganga District-630702 and that since the proceedings have just commenced, the personal appearance of the petitioners herein is dispensed with on all hearings except for such hearing which may be required as essential by the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate at George Town Chennai. The learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate at George Town Chennai, shall also endeavour to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible.
