O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police and their sub-ordinates not to harass the petitioner as per the complaint given by the defacto complainant.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that she lodged a complaint on 27.10.2021 against one Srinivasan and his family members, but no action has been taken. Earlier engagement held between the petitioner and the said Srinivasan and due to dowry demand and harassment, the same did not further progress. The petitioner is willing to hand over whatever articles, she received during engagement. Subsequently, Srinivasan made a counter complaint. The respondent Police under the influence of Srinivasan pressurizing the petitioner to pay huge sum and also forcing her to marry him.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that it is a matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and Srinivasan and there are some allegations against each other. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

If the petitioner appears before the respondent Police along with a copy of the complaint, the same will be verified and appropriate action will be taken.

4. In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or normal functioning of the Court.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
