ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed by the Management of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, praying to set aside the Docket Order passed

in E.P.No.02 of 2026 in C.P.No.16 of 2018, vide order dated 15.06.2026 on the file of the Labour Court, Kancheepuram.

2. The background of the case is that, an ex-parte order was passed on 20.11.2024 in the claim petition filed in C.P.No.16 of 2018 by the respondentworkman, for payment of back-wages, together with other attendant benefits. In the said C.P., the Labour Court, Kancheepuram, directed the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation to pay 50% of the back-wages, together with all other attendant benefits, to the respondent-workman. Pursuant to the same, execution petition in E.P.No.2 of 2026 in C.P.No.16 of 2018, was filed by the respondentworkman, in which, the Labour Court ordered arrest of the concerned official of the revision petitioners/(Transport Corporation) by 21.07.2026. Challenging the same, the Transport Corporation has filed the present Civil Revision Petition.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. In the event of the revision petitioners/Management of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, depositing the necessary eligible amount to the respondent-workman and also as directed by the Labour Court, to the account of C.P.16 of 2018, the arrest of the concerned official of the revision petitioners (Transport Corporation), as ordered by the Labour Court, shall be kept in abeyance.

Insofar as Interlocutory Petition(s) in C.P.No.16 of 2018, filed by the revision petitioners/Transport Corporation praying to set aside the ex-parte order, dated 20.11.2024, the same shall be decided by the Labour Court on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the respective parties, as expeditiously as possible.

6. With the above said observations/directions, the present Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous petition is closed.

7. It is made clear that the revision petitioners/Transport Corporation shall pay the necessary amount entitled to by the respondent-workman, and also as directed by the Labour Court, in accordance with law, within four weeks, to the credit of C.P.No.16 of 2018.
