Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent No.2 to expeditiously complete the investigation and file charge sheet in Crime No.24 of 2020 on the file of the respondent No.2, within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent No.2 to expeditiously complete the investigation and file charge sheet in Crime No.24 of 2020 on the file of the respondent No.2, within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The petitioner/defacto complainant had filed this petition seeking to file the final report before this Court for the

reason that the FIR in this case has been registered on 07.12.2020, for offence under Sections 294(b), 494, 498(A), 506 (i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and investigation has been conducted.

3.The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submits that the All Women Police Station, Namakkal had registered the FIR and had conducted the investigation. During investigation it was found that the complaint has been lodged when the victim was with her mother at Namakkal. Thereafter, it was found that the entire occurrence said to have been taken place within the jurisdiction of Madhurapuri, Thuraiyur. In view of the same, a communication dated 20.11.2021, had been addressed to the Additional Superintendent of Police by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Salem, seeking for transfer of FIR from the file of the All Women Police Station, Namakkal to the file of the All Women Police Station, Musiri. He further submitted that he would inform the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Musiri to conclude the investigation in this case at the earliest.

4.Recording the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side], this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
