ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in D.V.C.No.118 of 2017 on the file of XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.

2. The petitioner herein is the father-in-law of the respondent. Necessary allegations have been made in the petition and this petitioner, who is the Father-in-law, has to go before the Court below and establish his defence. This Court is not inclined to interfere with the proceedings at this stage.

3. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed and the Court below is directed to complete the proceedings in DVC No.118 of 2017 on the file of the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The presence of the petitioner is dispensed with and he shall be represented by a counsel before the Court below and he shall be present before the Court below, as and when required, during important dates of hearing.
