ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner for appointment to the post of Junior Assistant or any other suitable post.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father died in the year 2008 and immediately after the demise of his father, the petitioner has given an application for compassionate appointment. However, no appointment was issued in favour of the petitioner. In reply dated 15.04.2024 they informed that the petitioner is eligible to be appointed as Junior Assistant as and when his seniority reaches.
3. It is the submission of the petitioner he has sent representation on 26.10.2024 to consider even for other postings and such representation is yet to be considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is contrained to move the present writ petition.

At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent would strongly object the contentions of the petitioner and submitted that petitioner will be considered for the post when his seniority reaches. Hence, there is no merit in the present writ petition. At the same time, it is an agreed fact that the petitioner's representation is pending consideration with the respondents.
5. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2024 and pass orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, based on its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
