PRAYER: - The Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 483 of The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying to grant bail to the petitioner/Accused in Crime No.220 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.

The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.06.2024 for the offences punishable under sections 341, 294(b), 307, 506(ii), 392 and 397 of IPC in Crime No.220 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 14.06.2024 at about 8 a.m., near Kadambathur Agaram bus stand, the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto complainant and demanded money. When the defacto complainant was refused for the same, the accused assaulted him and robbed Rs.1100/- at knife point. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner is in judicial custody since 14.06.2024 and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He has not committed any offence as alleged by the respondent police. The petitioner is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. Hence, the petitioner may be released on bail.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has submitted that the petitioner 2/4

was detained under Goondas Act. He has also submitted the copy of the detention order passed by the District Magistrate and District Collector, Tiruvallur.

5. Recording the above submission, the criminal original petition is dismissed.
