Heard both sides.

2. In the light of O.A.No.726 of 2023, seeking leave to file the application for release of Balloting units and VVPAT machines being allowed, and with the consent of the learned counsel on both sides, the following directions are issued in O.A.No.727 of 2023:

(i) The Control unit, Balloting units and VVPAT machines with reference to Control Unit Number BCUAF08025 and BCUEF88410 will continue to be retained by the Returning Officer.

(ii) All other control balloting units and VVPAT machines are released and the Returning Officer can utilise the same for election purposes on condition that the paper trail of all the VVPAT in respect of the election which is the subject matter of this election petition are retained by the Returning Officer.
