ORDER

(made by S. VAIDYANATHAN, J.) With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal. This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 22.12.2021, which was filed challenging the second respondent's proceedings dated 17.04.2021, in and by which, the petitioner was dismissed from service. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submitted that a decision will be taken and the petitioner's appeal will be disposed of within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, of course, after hearing him in person.

In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, without adverting to the merits of the matter, we expect the Registrar General, Madras High Court, the first respondent herein, to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 22.12.2021, on merits and in accordance with law,within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Costs made 2/4

easy.
