Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Since this Court is not inclined to pass any adverse order as against the second respondent, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to remove the Flag Post erected in the public road in front of the petitioner's house situate at No.61A, Pillayarkovil Street, Maduvankarai, Guindy, Chennai 600 032 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.01.2026. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the second respondent is the Block Secretary of the Vanniyar Sangam, Velacherry Block and the second respondent erected his party Flag post in front of the petitioner's house without any permission from the competent authorities. The petitioner made representation to the first respondent seeking to remove the said Flag post on 23.01.2026, however, there is no response. 2/4
4.In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to hear the petitioner and the second respondent and if it is found that the party Flag post has been erected by the second respondent without any permission from the competent authorities, the same may be removed in accordance with law and the said exercise shall be completed, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
