ORDER

The management of Visalatchi Soap Works has filed the present writ petition, challenging the award dated 28.1.2008 passed by the Labour Court, Karaikal in I.D.No.6 of 2004, under which the Labour Court had directed Visalatchi Soap Works to reinstate respondents 2 to 19 with backwages.

2. During the pendency of this writ petition, it appears that the management of Visalatchi Soap Works and respondents 2 to 19 have arrived at individual settlements dated 10.8.2016. Now it is represented by both sides that in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the award of the Labour Court shall be substituted by the settlement.

3. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is allowed with further direction that the said settlements shall stand substituted in place of the award passed by the Labour Court dated 28.1.2008 in I.D.No.6 of 2004 . A copy of the settlements have been furnished to this Court and the same shall form part of the case records. No costs.
