the Minimum Eligibility Marks for selection to the post of P.G.Assistant (Chemistry) under Secondary Grade Teacher (SC) category as 63 in accordance with Clause 9(iii) of TRB Advertisement No.01/2021 dated 09.09.2021 and to permit the Petitioner to participate in the Certificate Verification and to consider him for selection to the post of P.G. Assistant (Chemistry) based on merit in selection. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to arrive the minimum eligibility marks for selection to the post of PG Assistant (Chemistry) under Secondary Grade Teacher under the category of SC as 63 in accordance with clause 9(iii) of TRB Adv.No.1 of 2021 dated 09.09.2021.

The petitioner is coming under SC category and qualified with PG degree in Chemistry, M.Phil as well as D.T.Ed. While being so, the third respondent issued notification dated 09.09.2021 inviting applications to fill up PG Assistant Posts in various subjects. The petitioner applied for the post of PG Assistant (Chemistry). The petitioner got 63 marks. There were totally 150 questions, out of that 9 questions were deleted for evaluation. Therefore, 141 questions were evaluated and the minimum eligibility mark was fixed as 63.45 for SC category. Whereas the petitioner secured only 63 marks. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the said mark should be rounded off to 63 as it comes below 0.50. 4.

The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the third respondent submitted that the Board had taken stand that the cut off to be fixed only 63.45 marks for SC category and it cannot be rounded off. Therefore, the petitioner is not coming under the zone of consideration.

Therefore, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed.
