Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2016 requesting to reconsider the refusal and to award contract to the tanker lorries viz. 1.TN 77 E 8572 and 2.TN 77 E 8598 as per the tender in Tender No:RCC/SR/TNSO/PT-39/15-16 (Bid No.169217). By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner in response to the notice inviting tender for Road Transportation of bulk petroleum products, with effect from 01.01.2016, submitted his bid for six tanker lorries and according to him, out of the six lorries, two tankers are 2009 model and four tankers are 2015 model and all are basically new and road worthy vehicles. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that he has been awarded contract only in respect of two lorries and that in respect of other successful bidders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

older vehicles possessed by them, were given accommodation and in this regard, has submitted a representation dated 29.07.2016, to the respondent and though it was received and acknowledged, no response is forthcoming and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Ravi, learned Standing Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
