(ii) Old Survey No.445/4, New Survey No.266/4, to the extent of 0.49 cents out of 0.58 cents at Vegaakollai villlage, Kadampuliyur Sub Registrar Office, Panrutti Taluk, Cuddalore District (iii) Survey No.266/3, New Sub 1/5

ORDER

The petitioner herein claims to be title holder of land in Survey No.266/3, New Sub Division 266/3A1 extent of 60 cents, out of 1.19 acres at Vegaakolli Village, Kadampuliyur Sub Register Office, Panrutti Taluk,Cuddalore is before this Court stating that on 22.08.2022, he applied for measuring the land survey before the Tahsildar and fix the boundary. He also paid the necessary fee for that. However, when the revenue officials headed by Tahsildar came to measure the land , the respondents 3 to 5 and the family members threatened them due to their intimidation they all went without measuring the land. In this connection, he has given a representation to the first respondent police to give police 2/5

protection for measuring his land. However, such representation dated 19.07.2024 was not considered. Hence, seeks for writ of mandamus to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 19.07.2024.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that no representation so far received seeking police protection. If any requests seeking police protection by the revenue officials is received, necessary protection will be given for measuring the land after causing due notice to the objectors.

3. Taking note of the undertaking given by the Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on behalf of 1st respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to the petitioner herein to make fresh application for measuring the land and the revenue officials if necessary, may make request for police protection while measuring the land and proceed in accordant with law and the revenue records. No order to costs.
