O R D E R

The prayer in the writ petition is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary steps on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.7.2010 and put the petitioner in repossession of the lands in Survey No.47/3 situated at No.11/36, Perumulai Road, Thittakudi, Cuddalore District and pay a compensation of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) and further to take necessary action against respondents 4 to 7.

2. Though a larger prayer has been sought for in this writ petition, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is given to the official respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2010 and pass orders on merits.

3. Considering the said submissions made on behalf of the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits as claimed by the petitioner in the said representation, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.7.2010 on merits and in accordance with law and dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
