The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.05.2024, in Crime No.131 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, registered for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 420 of IPC and Section 66 D of Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008, seeks bail.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case, as if the petitioner does not have any knowledge about the alleged deposit of the cheated amount of Rs.1,36,00,000/-, the petitioner received only Rs.6 lakhs and out of which, he has already paid Rs.4 lakhs. He further submitted that the petitioner is suffering incarceration from 20.05.2024 and he is ready to abide any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the defacto complainant through the telegram app received a link for online trading, they were asked to invest money with the promise of 300% return and 10% for every deposit, initially he invested a minor amount, received a return and then deposited a huge T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

drl amount of Rs.1,36,00,000/-, and thereafter, the apps were found to be fake. Many accused persons were involved in this case, but only two persons were secured and there was no recovery. He further submitted that A1 and A3 are detained under Goondas Act 14. He further submitted that this petitioner introduced A3 to A1. He further submitted that the investigation is at initial stage, he vehemently opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and perused the materials available on record.
5. Taking into consideration the grave nature of the offence and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and also taking note of the fact that huge amount was involved, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
