ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to take steps and action based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2013 to provide electricity in his name by taking necessary bonds under the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004.

2. This Court by order dated 10.07.2013 in M.P.No.1 of 2013 has directed the second respondent to provide electricity connection within a period of two weeks.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today [23.02.2015], Mr.Dilip Kumar, learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that, pursuant to the order passed on 10.07.2013, the second respondent had given electricity service connection within the stipulated time.

In these circumstances, I do not find any reason to keep the writ petition pending. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
