ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to delete the name of the petitioner from the History Sheet list maintained by the 3rd respondent Police in H.S.No.44 of 2020.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted the petitioner has been falsely implicated in several cases for statistical purpose. In most of the cases, the Police is the complainant. Except one case which is registered under Section 307 IPC, all the other cases are registered under Section 506 (ii) IPC. Since the petitioner's father made representation to the higher officials of the Police, the petitioner was implicated in NDPS Act case and thereafter, he has been shown as History Sheeter in H.S.No.44 of 2021. Due to the pendency of the History Sheet, the petitioner is unable to further pursue his carrier in any field. Hence, he had sent a representation to the respondents on 20.10.2020, but no action taken sofar.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is a notorious person, and is involved in eight cases, of which one case pertains to NDPS Act. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner has been received by the respondents, which would be considered in a short time.

4. Considering the submissions made on both sides, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
