This writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to provide immediate police protection by considering petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2021 to petitioner's person and properties.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a resident of Veppampalayam; that his sister Sundharammal executed a registered Will bequeathing her properties in his favour; that after the death of her sister, he has been cultivating the lands and has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

been in possession and enjoyment of the same even before the death of his sister. It is his further case that some third party including his relatives have been trying to grab the property from him through criminal means and hence he has sent a representation to the respondents on 26.10.2021 seeking police protection to save his life and liberty. As there has been inaction on the part of the respondents, the petitioner has knocked at the doors of this court with the above writ petition.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, this court is inclined to direct the second respondent to cause an enquiry and to find out whether the apprehension of the petitioner is real. In the event of any apprehension, necessary protection be granted.
