O R D E R

The petitioners herein seek a direction to the respondents to consider their representation dated 25.06.2024 and issue joint patta in their favour in respect of property situated in Survey No.200, Sub-Division No.680, with an extent of 2431 sq.ft., in Madampakkam Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. According to the petitioners, the above mentioned property originally belonged to their paternal aunt-G.Saroja and she executed a Will dated 04.10.2023 bequeathing the property in favour of the petitioners. It is also stated by the petitioners that the said G.Saroja died on 11.02.2024 and the death certificate is enclosed in the typed-set of papers. The petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents dated 25.06.2024 seeking transfer of patta from the name of G.Saroja to the name of the petitioners. The said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is 2/4

taking notice for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner submits an online application seeking transfer of patta, the same will be considered by the respondents within the time fixed by this Court.

In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, the petitioners are directed to submit an online application seeking transfer of patta within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The 2nd respondent is directed to consider such online application and pass final orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of the online application.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
