Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 6th respondent to re-investigate the fire incident which had taken place on 16.3.1997 at Additional Godown at Thiruppathur Sandal depot as per the recommendation given by Justice Raman Commission in the light of the findings rendered by the Hon'ble Commission.

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The 2013 public interest litigation seeks to raise an issue about the fire incident which took place on 16.03.1997 at Additional Sandalwood Depot, Tiruppathur, by seeking reinvestigation. 2.The counter-affidavit shows that an enquiry commission was appointed under the Chairmanship of Justice Thiru.A.Raman (Retd.), which submitted its report on 04.11.1999 and the State Government is averred to have taken action against the officials and recommendation of the Commission to prevent such incidents in future are stated to be implemented. The C.B.C.I.D. investigated the case and filed charge sheet against seven officials but the Fast Track Additional Sessions Court, Tirupatthur, in the order dated 11.08.2006 in S.C.No.211 of 2004 passed an acquittal order giving benefit of doubt.
The opinion thereafter obtained suggested no further action was required. 3.We are, thus, of the view that much after even that acquittal, the petitioner seeks to raise various issues. 4.
