ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 to take necessary action for 8th respondent to provide a detailed report on the steps taken to prevent such incidents in future and to ensure a safe and child-friendly environment.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioners daughter was a student in the 8th respondent School. It is the specific contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that his daughter was subjected to corporal punishment which resulting in injury and that a criminal complaint was filed against the concerned teacher. The learned counsel further submits that he has also sent a representation to various authorities for registering First Information Report and for compensation for a physical and psychological trauma and other disciplinary actions against the delinquent teacher. It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioner's representation is pending with the respondent without any further action since 12.05.2025.
3. At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing 3/7
on behalf of the respondents 3, 6 and 7 on written instructions from the District Educational Officer, Mayiladuthurai submitted that CSR was registered against the concerned teacher in CSR No.339/2025. It is further submitted that the concerned teacher by name Ms.Yogitha has already been terminated from the service and that the authorities have been pursuing the matter with the school. It is further informed to this Court that the officials have visited the school and conducted an enquiry about the incident.
4. I have given my anxious consideration on either side submissions and also perused the materials available on record.

Therefore, this Court is of the firm view that the authorities have already taken cognizance of the petitioner's complaint and have initiated all necessary steps to address the issue appropriately. However, upon perusal of the representation, it is noted that the petitioner has sought compensation which does not fall within the scope of writ jurisdiction. In light of the action already taken by the District Educational Officer, this Court finds there is no merit in the present writ petition and the same is liable to be dismissed. 4/7
6. In the result, the writ petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is given liberty to approach the concerned authorities if he desires to have any compensation against the respondents. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are stand closed.
