O R D E R

The petitioners herein seek a direction to the respondents to consider their representation dated 05.07.2024 for issuance of patta in the name of petitioners by taking into consideration the death of petitioners' father Durairaj Nadar.

According to the petitioners, the property situated in Survey Nos.782/184 and 782/186, Block No.43, Ward No.001, total extent of 1800 sq.ft. at No.13A, Jawahar Road, Ramana Nagar, Perambur, Chennai - 600 011, was purchased by the petitioners' father Durairaj Nadar in the year 1975. Patta was also issued in his name. He died on 19.08.2005. Later his wife Selvamani also died on 13.12.2018. The petitioners claim that they are the legal representatives of the deceased Durairaj Nadar and in that capacity they have submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent on 05.07.2024 seeking issuance of patta in their name. The said representation has not been considered by the 2nd respondent and therefore, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes 2/5

notice for the respondents would submit that if the petitioners submit an online application for issuance of patta in their name, the same will be considered by the 2nd respondent within the time limit stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the petitioners are directed to submit the online application for transfer of patta, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Further, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the online application, to be submitted by the petitioners on its own merits and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the said online application.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
