ORDER

The contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience by the respondent in complying with the order of this Court in W.P.No.30858 of 2024 dated 23.10.2024.

2.The learned appearing for the petitioner would submit that a few employees of the Jeppiaar SRR Engineering College, Padur, had filed separate writ petitions before this Court seeking recovery of gratuity amount. This Court on 23.10.2024 had taken up all the writ petitions viz., W.P.Nos.30858, 30862, 30864, 30866 & 30867 of 2024 for hearing, and by a common order dated 23.10.2024, had disposed of the same. The orders of this Court has been complied with respect to other staff except the petitioner herein, whose gratuity dues alone has not been settled till date.

3. Today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner herein, who is the last person in the aforesaid batch, has also been paid with her gratuity amounts and the same has been acknowledged by the petitioner herein. This was 2/4

intimated to the Office of the Government Pleader vide the proceedings of the respondent in RC.No.11541/2024/U3, dated 04.08.2025 enclosing the details of payment and the acknowledgment.

4. In view of the above, nothing survives for consideration in the above contempt petition. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. 05.08.2025 Index : Yes / No ds To:
