ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to grant leave to file Criminal Appeal, challenging the order of acquittal dated 22.04.2024 passed in STC No. 310 of 2023 by the learned XXVI Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

2. The petitioner is complainant and the respondent is accused. The petitioner filed a private complaint under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act before the XXVI Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, in STC No.310 of 2023 and the learned Magistrate after enquiry, dismissed the complaint vide order dated 22.04.2024. Challenging the said order, the complainant has filed the above appeal before this Court. Since, the appeal is 2/4

against the order of acquittal, he has also filed this Criminal Original petition to grant leave.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent.

4. A perusal of the grounds of appeal shows that there are arguable points. Therefore, leave is granted.
