2. This is the first application filed by the applicant, seeking extension of time for the arbitrator to pronounce the arbitral award. As seen from the affidavit of service filed in support of this application, the arbitrator has already started recording oral evidence.

ABDUL QUDDHOSE.J., ab for the applicant and the same is placed on record before this Court today. As seen from the counter, the objections raised by the respondents pertain to the merits of the applicant's claim. Once sufficient cause is shown by the applicant for seeking extension of time for the arbitrator to pronounce the arbitral award, this Court will have to grant extension as prayed for in this application.

4. In the affidavit filed in support of this application, sufficient cause has been shown for seeking extension of time as prayed for in this application. Accordingly, this application is allowed as prayed for by granting extension of time for the arbitrator to pronounce the arbitral award by another period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
