Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to implement the Project namely ''Ponnaliamman Koil Anaikattu Plan'' by setting a lake across the Ponniyaru in Pachamalai mountain foundation situated at Chokkanur Agraharam, Veeraganur Village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District and thereby acquire the land in order to setting a lake across Ponniyaru enable to get water irrigation of 441 Acres of land in this area. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the petition, but states that he will follow up the matter administratively alone to persuade the Government to expedite the scheme taking necessary steps for fructification of the project.

2.Writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn in the aforesaid terms. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.25011 of 2016 is also dismissed.
