PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue appropriate writs, orders or direction and in particular issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to regularize the petitioners appointed under 10(a)(i) and 17(i) and have cleared Special Qualifying Examination 2022 with effect from date of appointment order on par with other Medical Officers appointed through TNPSC/MRB (2009, 2016, 2017 and 2018) by passing orders on the representation dated 24.07.2023.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to regularize the petitioners, who were appointed under 10(a)(i) and 17(i) of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules and have cleared Special Qualifying Examination-2022 with effect from date of appointment order on par with other Medical Officers appointed through TNPSC/MRB (2009, 2016, 2017 and 2018) by passing orders on the representation dated 24.07.2023.

2.The grievance of the Writ Petitioners is that they have been appointed as Assistant Surgeon under 17(1) of the Tamil Nadu Government Service in the year 2017 and they have cleared Special Qualifying Examination on 28.05.2022, however, they are not regularized till date. In Page No.2 of 4

this regard, a representation, dated 24.07.2023 has been sent to the respondents to regularize the petitioners appointed under 10(a)(i) and 17(i) and have cleared Special Qualifying Examination 2022 with effect from date of appointment order on par with other Medical Officers appointed through TNPSC/MRB (2009, 2016, 2017 and 2018), but no order has been passed. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3.Considering the limited relief as sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 24.07.2023 and pass order on merits, within a period of two months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
