ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus for a direction to the 1 st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioners on 26.04.2025 wherein the petitioners are seeking for conducting an enquiry and to constitute managing committee as per the scheme. 2.

Heard Mr.N.A.Nassir Hussain for M/s.I.Kowser Nissar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Avinash Wadhwani, learned Standing counsel for 1 st respondent.

The grievance of the petitioners is that the 2 nd respondent was appointed as a Muthawalli for the Jumma Mosque Kallakurichi for the period up to 29.03.2025. Thereafter, it was once again extended up to 11.07.2025. Even now an attempt is being made to extend the period inspite of various complaints made against the 2 nd respondent. Hence, a representation was made to the 1 st respondent on 26.04.2025 to conduct an enquiry into the affairs of the mosque and to constitute managing committee as per the scheme. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioners on 26.04.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision and convey the same to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
