Respondent Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 03.07.2024 made by the petitioner for delete the petitioner name in the list of History/Rowdies Sheet maintain in the respondent Police Station and decide the same in accordance with law within a reasonable time.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein, who is included in the list of History/Rowdies Sheet, has given representation on 03.07.2024 to delete his name.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) states that there is one criminal case is still pending against the petitioner herein and therefore, his representation will be considered on the outcome of the said case.

3. The petitioner herein submits that the case against him where of the year 2015, in respect of offence under Sections 147, 148, 448, 294(b), 323, 307 and 506(ii) of IPC and such case posture at the instance of the local politician.

4. Considering the above submissions and the counter filed by the Inspector of Police, H-6, R.K.Nagar, Chennai, this Court finds that out of 25 cases registered against this petitioner except one which is in Crime No.1593 of 2015, all other cases being disposed of, therefore, it is appropriate to direct the respondent Police to consider Police Standing 2/4

Order 747 and 748 and dispose of the representation in accordance with law within a period of three months.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
