ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner seeking three months time to settle the loan amount.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned rice mill in the name of M/s Andavar Modern Rice Mill comprised in No.60A, 61A and 62A, Chennai Trichy Trunk Road, Villupuram. In order to develop the said rice mill, the petitioner availed financial assistance from the respondents. Due to failure of monsoon and other related factors, the petitioner was unable to settle the loan amount and he paid only nominal amount then and there and avoided auction of the said property. Thereafter, the petitioner was given an offer of one time settlement to the tune of Rs.12,00,000/- and a sum of Rs.29,500/- as processing fee.

4. However, the petitioner was unable to utilize the said offer and sought for further time. It was happened in the year 2020. Now, the petitioner made a representation for extention of time.

5. In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
