This Writ Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to grant a further period of eight weeks time to complete the investigation and file a final report as per the direction of this court dated 02.08.2022 made in W.P.No. 6982 of 2021. Since the final report could not be submitted within a time stipulated by this court, the petitioners police 1 and 2 have sought for further extension of time. Accordingly, the matter is listed today.

2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, learned counsel for petitioners police would submit that they have filed the final report and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.2096 of 2023 on the file of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Coimbatore. Hence, he prayed that this petition may be closed.

Considering his submissions and also the fact that the final report was filed and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.2096 of 2023 on the file of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Coimbatore, this Writ Miscellaneous Petition is liable to be closed. Accordingly, this Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
