Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2023 and to take necessary action against the seventh respondent.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4 & 6.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the Rangampettai Gate is being changed and no proper procedure has

been followed while changing the name.

3. There is nothing on record to show that the name has been changed in the official records. In absence thereof, no adverse order can be passed.

4. The petitioner claims to have filed a representation on 19.04.2023 to the first respondent. In case the first respondent is competent to decide it, then the first respondent may decide the representation filed by the petitioner dated 19.04.2023 on its own merits, preferably within a period of six months.

5. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
