PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue a Chitta and records the A - Register in favor of petitioner name to the land situated in DK / 2/ 1424 F and the land situated at S. No 88/6-0.81.0 Ares Neepathuri Village Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District based on petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026. For Petitioner(s):

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was assigned agricultural lands measuring 0.81.0 Ares in S.No.88/6 at Neepathuri Village Chengam Taluk, Thiruvannamalai, District under the Tamil Nadu Government's land assignment scheme for landless persons in July 2014. A patta was issued in her favour pursuant to Assignment Order No.DK/2/1424F. Despite submitting a representation dated 30.04.2026 seeking issuance of Chitta and incorporation of her name in the A-Register, the respondents failed to act. Aggrieved by such
inaction, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking appropriate directions from this Court.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel for the respondents.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026. The respondents shall afford a fair hearing, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and any other interested parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
