ORDER

The contempt petition was filed on the ground that the order passed by this Court in WP.No.27799 of 2023 dated 25.09.2023, was not complied with.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the affidavit of the respondent was filed and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder: 4.It is respectfully submitted that after receiving the order in W.P.No.27799 of 2023, dated 25.09.2023. The respondent police conducted enquiry with the petition given by the petitioner on 01.08.2023. After conducted enquiry, a case was registered in T-12 Selaiyur Police Station in Cr.No.516 of 2024, u/s.406, 420 IPC on 17.10.2024 at about 22.30 hours against the accused by Tr.Ganesh Pandian, the Inspector of Police and he taken up the case for enquiry.

5.It is respectfully submit that after register FIR, the Inspector of Police taken up the case for investigation. As soon as examined the defacto complainant and other witnesses and came to the conclusion.

6.It is respectfully submit that the respondent police received the complaint in a free and fair manner and conduct a investigation. As soon as examined the witnesses and recorded their statements and secured the accused and complete the investigation and file a final report before the competent court in accordance with law.

3.Recording the above, this contempt petition is closed. 18.10.2024 Index: Yes/No KP
