Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 3 to correct the errors, in Death Certificate, vide Registration No.D-202 33-16603-003664 based on the amendment order issued by second respondent dated 22.11.2022, and thereby correct the name of the deceased from Krishnan to A.Krishnan, secondly, "Age of Deceased" from 41 years to 52 years, thirdly "Name of the Wife" from Rajam to K.Shanthi and pass appropriate orders within the time frame fixed by this Court.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to correct the errors in the death certificate of petitioner's husband based on the amended order issued by second respondent. 2/6
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband viz., A.Krishnan passed away on 28.09.2022 at Stanley General Hospital. In the death certificate issued to the petitioner by the respondent Corporation, the name of his father was mentioned as Krishnan instead of A.Krishnan and the age of the deceased was mentioned as 41 years instead of 52 years. It is also stated by the petitioner that the name of the wife of the deceased was mentioned as Rajam instead of K.Shanthi. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the third respondent on 02.03.2023 to correct the death certificate. She also enclosed the certificate issued by Village Administrative Officer stating that the petitioner is the wife of deceased. The petitioner also enclosed a certificate issued by the second respondent dated 22.11.2022 mentioning the amendment carried out in the Hospital records. 3.
Mr.A.S.Ragul Adhithya, learned counsel for Mrs.P.T. Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents 1 & 3 and Mr.R.U.Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for respondents 2 & 4.

4. Though the petitioner sought for a direction to the respondents 1 and 3 to correct the death certificate on the basis of the order issued by the second respondent. This Court is not inclined to issue such a positive direction. Therefore without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2023 on its own merits in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
