Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove he encroachments made by the fifth respondent in the schedule water body in S.No.22, Thailavaram Village, Kattankulathur Pirca, Chengalpattu Taluk and District as per the letter dated 05.08.2020 in Na.Ka.No.1054 of 2020/Aa2 issued by the fourth respondent.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.R.Balachanderan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the survey was conducted and, in the survey, an encroachment was found in Survey No.22.

3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the respondent authority would consider the survey report and, if necessary, notice would be issued to the encroacher and further steps would also be undertaken.

4. In the view of the said statement made by learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
